Mia's 3rd Birthday!

This month, we reached another fun milestone - Mia turned 3!  She was really excited about her birthday this year and we all had a great time celebrating with her.  Her party suited her perfectly - we had a Purple Party (Mia's favorite color) at our home with family and friends, which included a purple coloring station, photo booth, piƱata, purple beach pails, beach balls, bubbles, wands, and many other purple favorites!  She loved being surrounded by family and friends at her party - she is still talking about it over a week later!

On her actual birthday, Tim and I brought Mia to the Roger Williams Zoo.  While we had been to the zoo before, we had never been to the new "Our Big Backyard," which was a lot of fun - Mia loved playing in the water, on the outdoor play structures and in the big tree house.

So far, age three has been really fun - we are looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings!

Holiday Happiness!

This year, we had such a wonderful holiday season with family and friends!  While Mia certainly did not understand everything, she knew enough to have lots of fun visiting Santa, going to a "Tea with Clara" Nutcracker event, looking at Christmas lights, decorating the tree, singing songs, making Christmas crafts and participating in many other fun holiday activities!

Mia's first encounter with Santa this year was at the Gleason family Christmas party (which was a lot of fun!) and later at Patriot Place.  She did not know what to ask Santa for, but was very excited when he stopped by our house on Christmas Eve during our feast of seven fishes with a present for her (Santa's sleigh ran out of room so he needed to deliver one gift early!) It was also so nice to spend Christmas Eve with Grammy, Poppy, Theresa, Joseph, Tanya, Grandma and Sean.

On Christmas morning, Mia was really excited to find her gifts from Santa under the tree (a wooden train, princess doll and bouncy horse) and her stocking full of goodies.  Grandma joined us for mass at nearby Fatima Shrine (which also has one of our favorite light displays) and then we spent the rest of the day at Nana's house eating lots of delicous food and spending time with family.

Overall, it was the most fun holiday season yet!  Happy New Year!!!

Love,
Tim, Jen & Mia
