Happy Halloween!

Halloween was extra fun this year because it was Mia's first year of trick-or-treating!  She dressed as a pumpkin - she has loved pumpkins ever since we visited the pumpkin patch at some local farms this fall, so it was a very appropriate costume for her.  Prior to Halloween, Mia participated in our neighborhood's Halloween parade and party, where she happily became the star of the witch's show, so she was fully prepared when October 31st arrived!  She had so much fun trick or treating through the whole neighborhood (she lasted until we brought her home at 8 o'clock) -each time we approached a new house, she would point and enthusiastically say "I try that one!" - she also did a great job saying "Trick or Treat," "Happy Halloween," and "Thank You" at each house.  Here are some photos of the fun!

Happily Ever After

Fall is always a fun season, but it was extra special this year because Tanya and Frank got married!  They had a gorgeous fall-themed wedding in downtown historic Plymouth (there was a beautiful view of the waterfront from St. Peter's Church and the reception!) - we had such a great time at the rehearsal and wedding on Columbus Day weekend!  I was happy to be the Maid of Honor and Mia had such a fun time as a flower girl - she loved wearing her pretty dress and dancing at the wedding reception!  Here are some pictures from the festivities - congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Boulay!

The "Terribly Fun" Twos!!!

We recently had a new milestone at our house - Mia turned 2!!!  It is amazing what a difference a year can make - at last year's party, she didn't even have teeth yet!  Not only does she now have a full set of teeth, but she was able to run around, play with her friends, enjoy all of the food, talk to everyone and have a great time at her party!

Since Mia is a big fan of Sesame Street, we had an Abby Cadabby party for our little fairy-in-training, complete with decorations, wands, stickers a menu from the Flying Fairy School, an Abby Cadabby temporary tattoo station (thanks to Auntie Theresa!), and a pull-string piƱata.  We were very lucky to have a sunny day so the kids could enjoy the sprinkler and kiddie pool in the summer weather - it was such a fun day and the perfect way to celebrate Mia's special day!

For her actual birthday (which was the day after her party), we took Mia to Davis Farmland, which was an impressive and very interactive farm with animals, a bounce house, play areas, and a splash park.  Some highlights from the day included Mia holding a newborn goat, riding a pony, brushing the pony's hair, and of course getting soaked with water and bubbles at the splash park!

Here are some photos from the birthday festivities - we are so thankful to have such wonderful family and friends and we are looking forward to another great year!!!
